This little cottage is just perfect. Great location for townies and/or beach lovers. Very comfortable bed and the shower is to die for!! Diana and David are wonderful hosts. I highly recommend staying here. Sue Scoville

I stayed at the Fernandina Beach guest cottage from mid May to mid June 2022. It was the perfect place for my needs. I wanted to be able to bike everywhere- to the harbor, the shops and restaurants, the farmers market & for my Sunday morning bagel run. I even biked to the beach to avoid having to search for parking. The beach is a little far by bike but the island has plenty of bike lanes & I always felt safe. Because it was a month long rental, a washing machine, off street parking, strong wifi signal, cold & quiet airconditioning and a fully functioning kitchen were also on my wish list. This place ticked all my boxes! There is plenty of storage for clothes etc for guests and an ironing board, hair dryer, lots of fluffy towels, a micro and coffee maker, an apartment sized fridge & a small but functional stove. Some of the kitchen ware was a little worn when I first arrived but I just had to mention it to the host and brand new replacements were supplied immediately. I cooked most days versus dining out - be aware the kitchen is very small so it would be tough to create a turkey dinner with all the fixings, for example, or do any baking. I really liked the under bed storage space too - perfect for empty suitcases, etc. There are bikes for guest use with the property but I bought my own used bike at a local donation center for $35 and Mrs. Host was so sweet & accommodating, she even offered to ride it home for me! Speaking of hosts, I was just thrilled to meet them- they are the nicest people. They genuinely wanted me to love Amelia Island as much as they do and were kind enough to let me know about some of the local events I may not have heard about on yelp etc. When I checked in, there was a thunderstorm brewing and I had a car full to bring into the cottage. I texted ahead that I was arriving shortly and Mr Host met me with a big smile and helped me bring everything in just in time before the rain started. That being said, the hosts also value their guest’s privacy and I got the impression that they were there only if I needed them to be! As the cottage is in town, it’s not particularly private- close neighbors, etc but keep in mind that the location is also what makes it so convenient to stay there. For example, the Juneteenth Festival was in the field at the corner of their street so lots of folks drove in and parked in the neighborhood to enjoy the amazing food vendors. While the neighborhood was busy that afternoon, it was so easy to just walk over from the cottage & bring the food back home to enjoy so it worked out perfectly! The price for the cottage may seem a little high at first glance but it is very well priced compared to other monthly stay options and far less expensive per night than a local hotel. I would highly recommend staying at Diana’s guest cottage on your next visit to Amelia Island!

We loved our stay at the Cottage!! It is a great location and close to everything. Walking distance to historic downtown. Great food and shopping! Beautiful cottage and super cute interior. The closet storage and washer + dryer was super helpful. Private driveway parking. David and Diana are amazing hosts and were so hospitable! They had fresh flowers and yummy treats ready for us upon arrival. They were super helpful and great with communication! Definitely recommend staying at the cottage!!

Diana and David's cottage is the perfect place to stay on Amelia Island. Their cottage is located conveniently both to historic downtown as well as the beach. It has a very home-y and welcoming beach cottage feel, and they are wonderful as hosts as well! Very fast communication, incredibly kind and welcoming, and full of great recommendations for the island. Can't recommend their stay highly enough, I will definitely be visiting again soon.
