The place was, if possible, even better than you could imagine based on the pictures. The house is in the end of the road, so it is really private and peaceful. The beauty of the fjord and the mountains is right there. The house is cosy and has a good spirit. It is a real house, not a cabin, and has been taken good care of. There would have been great facilities for grilling and also cutting fish on the deck with a gorgeous view but we had to pass those activities. You can see the mountains pretty much from all the windows. It is possible to hike right from the house to the Kvalvika beach by walking on the road to a bit longer hiking path that goes by the mountain lakes. We also walked to Fageråvatnet lake right from the house. The hikes are tough even the Norwegians (the Vikings!!!) mark them easy or moderate! The trips to the store were fun for the kids since there is a beautiful Ramberg beach close to the stores. We did a day trip to Reine and took a fjord ferry from there.
