We are conveniently located to shops, including supermarkets and takeaways and 5 min by bus to the John Radcliffe (JR) hospital. The bus is located just outside the door, which also serves buses into Oxford town every 10-15 mins.
We have a few local pubs offering various foods, and all have outdoor gardens. The closest is the Red Lion. It is very reasonably priced and offers gluten-free and veg dishes. A bit further along, we have the Vicky Arms, which is situated by the river. It is more of a gastro pub, and very popular throughout Oxford during the summer periods. In a different direction from the GardenRoom, we have the White Hart, which specialises in pies and has a beautiful walled garden. Next door is the Black Boy. This is more of a pub/restaurant and often needs booking. Finally, in a different direction again, we have the 'Up in Arms' pub. This serves pizzas, burgers and a variety of breakfast options. very popular with young professionals and students.

We are very well located near Oxford town centre and the John Radcliffe hospital. Take the X3 bus from outside the door, which leaves every 12 min serving town (12 min) and the hospital (5 min). This stop also serves buses to the Churchill hospital (5 min) and surrounding towns/villages.
We have many local amenities, including food shops, takeaways, pubs serving food, pharmacies and a hairdresser. We also have a local cafe serving breakfasts and lunches, which is open six days a week.
For more relaxed stays, we are within walking distance of the University Park and Science area via paved paths and/or through fields.
