A mixed experience for us because of the behavior of the owner. Pros: The place is a paradise. The garden area is very cute and calm, shared with nice guests. Cons: We are backpackers on a 2 years trip, with limited per-day budget (local food, markets, cooking, chicken buses...). This Airbnb was a mini-splurge for us as we just crossed from Salvador to Guatemala. Day after we spent 1 hour in town comparing laundry prices. Cheapest we found was 40Q/load. We decided to ask the Airbnb as well, got quoted 7Q/lb, the lady in charge weighted everything to 5 lb, so we settled for it for 35Q. Great! Same evening owners comes and ask for 45Q, arguing that the "lady in charge didn't weight correctly". We had to argue A LOT to pay the agreed price and my girlfriend was shocked by the disdain reaction of the owner. Cherry on the cake is that the clothes were still wet. Also turns out I was originally quoted 6Q/lb and not 7Q but I didn't mention it because an agreed price is an agreed price.

Beautiful home and great rooms. A bit of a walk to get to the center of Antigua but still walkable. Great home I highly recommend it

Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb des Stadtkerns, alles ist aber dennoch gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Küche, das Zimmer und vor allem der Innenhof sind sehr liebevoll und persönlich gestaltet sowie blitzsauber. Der Garten versprüht eine schöne Atmosphäre, wie auch die sonstige Einrichtung. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und es gibt einen sehr großen Kühlschrank, sowie Geschirr für jeden Gast persönlich. Das Badezimmer ist gross und war stets top sauber. Juan war immer für uns ansprechbar und interessiert. Er war äußerst nett und hilfsbereit und hat uns bei organisatorischen Problemen geholfen und sogar ein günstiges Taxi zum Flughafen organisiert. Wir würden das Airbnb vollumfänglich weiter empfehlen und kämen auch selbstverständlich wieder.

WOW what can I say about Juan! Such a wonderful and kind human being as well as an accommodating host making sure we have everything we need. He helped us book our trip t Fuego and taxi to the airport and all went smooth. Extremely responsive to all our messages. The airbnb it self it awesome space as shown on the photos. I loved the garden of course, and the library with great variety of books to ready. Thank you, Juan and Merecedes. I will definitely be recommending you to my friends.
