‘Athiti Deva vaba’ I have heard this since my childhood. And whenever I booked any homestay from airbnb or other place, I have experienced the same until this stay. Starting with the location with 22 km distance from main city which was fine until we got to know the homestay will not provide any food (of course with pay). I had to book food from outside which is again 22 km distance from the city with 400 rupees delivery charges each time. And about the host, she is rude as her family. Really sorry to say that. It’s true. Also, the homestay rooms are attached with their private house, that means whenever you will go outside you have to use the common stairs with them. Which I found the privacy issues. And also toiletries like toothpaste, conditioner. It was used one. No towel provided by them. The good thing is only the view. Nothing else.

I am so glad I chose this place for my weekend getaaway! The place is right out of one of those scenary paintings. The view out of every bedroom is magical! It is 20km from the main town but that is what makes it so beautiful, away from the noise and the crowd. The hosts were sweet, not intrusive at all and so helpful when I got a leech bite. There was a great cafe nearby amidst the coffee plantations, that the host reecommended and the hazelnut coffee there is to die for! Overall, if you are looking for a peaceful chilled out time between the nature, this is the place to go for, without a doubt! PS- They have 2 cute and playful dogs!

Not a good place for bachelors. We went there for a weekend stay, the location was great and the view was also good. However the host had put a lot of restrictions. The host and the family stay at the ground floor and have a lot of rules like no footwear inside , no food inside, no smoking and drinking inside. You will feel very restricted inside the house. There are a few places to eat nearby, so we requested for food. The host denied for lunch and dinner and agreed only for one time breakfast. The breakfast was good but was too overpriced. The host charged us 300 per person for just dosa.

My wife and me went on an immediate trip and we wanted a decent getaway!! What we got is a 5-star treatment. Heads up, very hygienic place!! 100% well maintained… Though we hadn’t informed for lunch, the host was very considerate in providing us the same. Neat place and serene atmosphere. They were too accommodating in asking us about our specifications for food, beverages, places to visit etc. We had ZERO restrictions as they had given us the property to explore. They also constantly kept on checking our safety in arriving to the property. We also had a nice chat with the hosts and the caretaker. Accommodation - 5/5 Food - 5/5 Concern on our safety and approachability - 5/5 We would definitely recommend this property for a fantastic getaway. Please note that it’s always a give and take :) you being nice to the hosts always matters! They go out of the way to help you!! :) Thanks Valavi, aunty, uncle and the caretaker! You are amazing people 😍
