We had a great time staying here. The views to the beach from the living room were great. We enjoyed being able to access the beach from a very short distance. We also took advantage of the outdoor pools, which was our kids favorite thing to do. The was very accommodating for kids, with plastic plates and tableware, a stepstool, and not a lot of things sitting around for them to pick up and mess with. We didn't have to spend our stay worrying about what might break. We did spend time at the local aquarium, walked around near Fort Fisher, and went on a guided nature hike at Carolina Beach State Park where we were able to see carnivorous plants, like the Venus Flytrap, in the wild. This place is also only about a 5 minute drive from the ferry to Southport, which is a fun place to visit. If we get the chance to come back, we will!

Berna’s place was well equipped with everything we needed. The pictures accurately reflected the home. The views were spectacular, home was clean and Berna provided us with all instructions and stated if there were any questions to contacted them and provided the phone numbers. The indoor pool was under maintenance and the outdoor pool didn’t open until May. Not the fault of the owners. We will definitely be back as this was reasonably priced, peaceful and great hosts. Thank you.
