I booked a location at Ueno Park for cherry blossom season. Before confirming I was told that location was unavailable and was offered a location near SkyTree. Instead of one larger room I was given two small rooms. Both had washing machines (no dryers) and bathrooms, so it worked out OK in the end. We were not right next to the park, which would have been really nice. The rooms were clean. The A/C worked well. The street noise was a bit loud, but we were so tired we slept well. The sheets were polyester, and my wife was concerned it would be too hot and wanted to cancel. We had three daughters in one room, and they were quite cramped - better for two people. Communication was excellent, with questions be answered very quickly. Instructions were clear and it was no problem finding or accessing the rooms. Not quite the feel of a hotel, but reasonable accommodation. It was not a low price, but for a week long stay it worked out well to be able to do some laundry.

Some miscommunications led to frustration though host did try to remedy. Unfortunately, room was unclean upon arrival and never was cleaned during our stay as planned. Location was good coming from Narita late at night. Many convenience stores nearby. Apartment is not really an apartment- it is really just a small hotel room. Two rooms mean two separate entrances. This isn’t bad, necessarily, just something to be aware of. We are a family of five so we try to stay together in one space; because of the inaccurate listing we were unclear on what to expect and this led to confusion and frustration. We booked this place over another option because we expected it to be an actual apartment with two bedrooms, which it was not. Kitchen utensils were dirty with old food, linens and floors had hair from prior guests. Bathroom has outstanding water pressure. Heating worked well (once we figured it out!). Would benefit from some language translation manuals for the heating/washer/etc.

Two rooms were bought, neither fit either of the pictures. The rooms, fit for two people the main bed, when you did as little as sit on it the mattress would sink until you could feel the bottom of the "bed frame", you can imagine the neckpain you get from sleeping on it was annoying to say the least. The second bed was a futon or a couch and bed, however when you were to extend it to a bed and sit or lay on it, you could feel metal bars underneath the thin sheet covering it, not even a proper cushion or mattress for it. When we asked Kelly about this issue she said to sleep on the futon whilst it was a couch, the major problem with this is that if someone were to sleep on it as a couch they wouldn't only get backpain due to the bars but also neckpain due to the inconsiderate pillow which was flat and won't help prevent the issue, but also the fact that the couch was fit for someone of the height of 3 feet. To summarize, Kelly's Airbnb I would give 1/5 stars, and better options.

The place was very accessible from the station. It was the best location and the rooms were clean and tidy. Thank you Kelly!
