Kalamos is a small and quiet fishing village where you can find three greek taverns and a cafeteria just 150 meters from Erofili Apartments.
Every day between 8.30 a.m and 9.30 a.m the local baker passes by with his van to offer you hot bread, cheese pies, croissants and donuts. A grocer also visits the village to offer fresh fruit and vegetables. A local fishing boat offers fresh fish and seafood by the main beach after its daily fishing tour.
If you prefer a larger selection, visit the main village Argalasti, which is situated 6 kilometers away from Kalamos. There you will find Supermarkets, butcher shops, green grocery stores, taverns and Post Office. Every Saturday the village arranges local market place with fresh fruits, vegetables of the season and eggs from local farmers for sale.
In Argalasti you can even find a local Health Center and two drugstores.
Our visitors are free to use the existing barbecue facility in our yard. It will be our pleasure to offer you our help and whatever information you may need, because our ultimate goal is to give you the best quality for your holidays.

It is worth visiting Argalasti, which is known for the impressive church of Agioi Apostoli Petros and Pavlos with the famous marble belfry, which was built in 1886 and was constructed based on Agia Foteini of Smyrna, the Church of Agia Paraskevi, and the central circular square of the village with the perennial plane trees and the picturesque small taverns, such as Nikoleta’s tavern, where you can enjoy original local flavors.
The cobbled roads of the village, lead you to neoclassic mansions, the Elementary School of Argalasti, where Varnalis taught, the Girls School, which was constructed in the 19th century, as well as the “Koueni”, “Chantzi”, “Ai-Gianni” and “Kamara” fountains, the names of which have been linked to local legends, and are considered to be significant sights.
Moving downwards towards Kalamos, do not miss the opportunity to visit the monastery of Agios Nikolaos, which was built in 1732, and where today the Conference Center of the University of Thessaly is housed.
