Chris and his wife makes us feel welcome and openly shared their home with us. They are sincere in wanting to host us and we became friends in the process. Apart from the general upkeep and cleanliness of the place, they provided information for us to further explore the immediate surroundings. These makes our stay memorable and eventful. Places like Trombol Beach or the ferry point where one can board the ferry with cars and cross the river are certainly not in our radar if they had not told us about it. Eateries in Telaga Air where we can chill and have our lunch/dinner is indeed a beautiful place. With their encouragement we managed to explore places we never knew because we just don't have the local knowledge. We will certainly come back to stay at their place again.

Thank you for having us. Kobana has great architecture and room interior is very cozy and spacious. Suitable for small family or couples. Host is very guideful and friendly. Great experience. This place is an absolute dream. The place and garden are beautiful, the butterflies and birds flying around are dreamy, and Chris is an incredible host. Spent the mornings sipping coffee and trying to identify birds, and spent the evenings watching geckos chase fireflies. Chris had some great recommendations to help us get out and see the rainforest a short drive from his place. And coming back from a jungle trek and getting to hit that shower was paradise. I cannot recommend this place enough. Not too easy to get to just because it's remote but that's part of what made it so wonderful. Stayed two nights and wish we'd made it a week.

Insgesamt waren wir nur (leider) 3 Nächte in er Unterkunft von Chris. Chris hat uns herzlichst empfangen (es war bereits 19:00) und uns noch die wichtigsten Dinge erklärt (Outside-Kitchen). Das Appartment war makellos, es gibt sogar eine kleine Auswahl englischsprachiger Lektüre zu Malaysia, der Region Sarawak und der dortigen Flora und Fauna. Chris ist ein wahrer Experte in der Region und war immer sehr bemüht unsere Fragen zu beantworten. Für den letzten Tag organisierte er uns eine zweistündige Bootstour durch die Mangroven und bis aufs Meer und ermöglichte uns danach noch einen kostenlosen Late-Checkout um 2 Uhr! Zusammenfassend war es die beste Entscheidung für unseren Urlaub in Sarawak, das Appartement von Chris genommen zu haben. Seine lokalen Kenntnisse und Empfehlungen haben uns unvergessliche Erlebnisse beschert. Meine Freundin und ich haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt und würden uns ohne zu überlegen, noch einmal für seine Unterkunft entscheiden.
