Dez and Jesse were amazing hosts during our stay in Squamish. My girlfriend and I rented their space for a month during august to enjoy climbing while we worked from home. The space was clean, well-equipped, comfortable, and cool(!) with a great AC unit. The back yard / hot tub was lovely and we had great access to walking trails nearby. Dez and Jesse were super friendly and very helpful with any requests we had. Would 100% recommend this Airbnb to a friend! We’ll be back!
Desiree and Jesse were incredible hosts who went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable in every way possible. The apartment was warm and inviting and was equipped with everything that you would need to enjoy your stay. The apartment is located in a beautiful quiet neighbourhood. We take away very special memories and very much look forward to staying here again one day.
The best Airbnb experience yet. We had an amazing time while staying at Desiree's place. She was prompt and communicative about all check-in details and upon arrival was sure to give us a run through of the place. The backyard is a shared space and she made us feel very much at home -- from letting us pick some fresh tomatoes, to having us over for dinner. When I arrived and found the BBQ was not functional, she immediately purchased a newer one for us. Throughout our stay, she reached out to ensure that we had everything we needed. The level of kindness and hospitality was far beyond my expectations. I would definitely recommend friends and others to stay and enjoy the space.
We really enjoyed our stay at Desiree's place. The suite is very clean and the host was helpful and accommodating. What you see is what you get and the photos online are exactly what it looks like inside. It was really well situated for our needs and we especially enjoyed the use of the hot tub! There is construction going on immediately next door to the property and I wasn't expecting that....it didn't really bother us during our stay (thankfully I had ear plugs with me so the noise didn't wake me up!) Other than that we had a wonderful experience staying there and would recommend to anyone considering staying there in the future.
Squamish is known as the Recreation Capital of Canada! Our Squamish getaway is close to the mountains for world renowned skiing and snow boarding at Whistler/Blackcomb. We are 5 minutes from Squamish Valley Golf Course. There are many trails in the area for biking, hiking, bouldering and mountain climbing. We are about 10 minutes away from the Chief which is popular with rock climbers. We are also close to the Ocean for kite-boarding. Alice Lake is a beautiful destination to trail ride from our house or drive to the beach/recreation area. White water rafting, fly fishing for salmon, stand up paddle boarding (SUP) and kayaking are common activities on the lakes and rivers around Squamish. The Sea to Sky gondola is located 10 minutes away and the views at the top are breathtaking. There is live music every Friday night June to September (free with annual pass or gondola ticket). Next door to the gondola is Shannon Falls. Shannon Falls is 335m high and is particularly spectacular in the Spring. Another local water fall is Brandywine Falls which is shaped like a horseshoe and is very photogenic. Brackendale is 5 minutes away and is the world capital for eagle-watching. Bald eagles flock to Squamish and Brackendale during the peak eagle-viewing months of November to February. Prime viewing usually happens at Eagle Run dyke. Loggersfest is a festival that happens August long weekend. The festival is jam-packed with family-friendly activities including a parade, wacky bed races, a 8km run, legendary pancake breakfast along with two world-class Loggers Sports Shows that attract competitors from around the world. In the winter months, snowmobiling is very popular around Squamish and Whistler.
There is a binder full of information including menus of local restaurants, pubs/breweries/distilleries, and all of the activities listed above.
Getting around Squamish is easiest in a car. The best place to rent a car if you are flying into Vancouver is from Vancouver airport. There is a bus route right outside our front door (Bus number 2) which connects you to the city of Squamish, and other shuttles that take you to Whistler, Vancouver and the Vancouver airport. There are a few taxi companies in Squamish to get you around if you don't have a car or prefer not to use the transit system. Their contact information is in the "INFO" book.

Jesse is my partner. We are outdoor enthusiasts. We ski in the winter and golf, camp, stand up paddle board, hike and bike in the summer. We moved from Edmonton, AB in 2017 and absolutely love Squamish! Surrounded by the ocean and mountains, this is a very friendly, active community!
