Was so peaceful watching the sunset over the Hudson River on their back deck. Richard and Jeannie were such fun to talk with.

Richard responded to the reservation request within minutes, and continued great communication from beginning to end of our stay. Listing was for a single, which I didn't realize, but when I notified him we were a couple, Richard accommodated us in a separate double room with a queen bed they don't usually rent out. House is on a river and advertised as a boater's place. When he learned we are sailors he promised to take us on a short sail before we checked in. When we asked for info on local activities Richard told us about a local park (Peebles State Park) where we took a guided historical and natural history tour which was great. Afterwards, Richard met us for lunch and then took us for a relaxing sail on the river. In the morning Richard and his wife invited us for coffee in the room overlooking the river for friendly conversation, and then directed us to a great breakfast place for take out when we hit the road. We had a great stay and made new friends.
