We really enjoyed our 9 day stay. It felt like home and the staff are amazing, helpful and so friendly - nothing was too much to ask. Location is excellent only a 15 min walk from the heritage town (white town) and promenade beach area. We will return! If they will have us :)

A rare, special place. A meticulous restoration of the spectacular Franco-Tamil architecture that once dominated French Pondicherry. A small remaining piece of the tranquil culture for which the city was, until recently, famous. Like any top destination, K House seems to attract a few wealthy, self-entitled guests who treat everyone as their personal servants. But, as a place of unique interest and charm, most of the guests it attracts are also interesting and charming. I met several fascinating, wonderful people at K House over breakfast. It’s a ten-minute walk or brief auto ride to the touristic “old town”. Until recently, visitors to Pondicherry might want to stay in the heart of the French Quartier; but only ignorant first-timers would make that mistake now. Loud, ugly tourism has taken-over the central area. Stay on the periphery and leave the noise and crowd to the drunks and partiers. K House is the only place I would consider staying in Pondicherry.

Kariappa house is a beautiful old colonial home, with plenty of large bright and airy rooms, filled with the most exquisite period furniture. The rooms had a welcoming clean and comfortable atmosphere. Breakfast was pleasant and overall the architecture of the place stole our hearts. Would recommend to people who want something special, a little away from White Town and super serene and comfortable.
