Beautiful and well decorated. You can’t get any closer to trail access than Randy’s place. Randy was super nice and helpful, selling us some firewood and even having trail passes waiting for us when we arrived. The kitchen is well appointed with pots, pans, and dishes. The bathroom is small but great for showering off the trail dust. The only thing taking a star away from perfection is how small these purpose built cabins are. The one bedroom with the queen bed, the bed touches the wall on top and one side, while the foot is about 6” from the wall. Not even enough space to put a suitcase. The “open side” is small enough that one person has to leave the room before the other can get out of bed. The loft is also borderline usable. Had two 14 year olds sleeping up there and they couldn’t stand up, even on the landing at the top of the ladder. Had to be on their knees, and in the middle of the loft, to get over to the mattresses on the floor. Great place but know this ahead of time.

The place was very nice and clean and Randy and his wife were great. The only issue I had was the weak WiFi connection but on our last day Randy came over and said he just replaced his Wi-Fi booster with a new one and it worked great. Beautiful place to stay and trail is 250 ft away. The view of the river was awesome. Plenty of parking space and great atmosphere. I would highly recommend staying here. Its only 5 minutes from downtown Gilbert.

I hate to write a so-so review, as the host seems like a decent guy, but this isn’t a great value. When you pay over $200 per night, for example, you should be able to wash your hands in the bathroom, and not be forced to drive to the grocery so you can use the sink and shower. It costs $2 to offer guests a bottle of hand soap, seriously. I typically wouldn't have written anything here, but this seemed like a clear example of saving pennies at my expense, and made other stuff stand out. Paper-thin blankets on the beds, virtually nonexistent wi-fi in an area with no data or cell service (and despite being reassured it was OK before booking, since I’m on call at work), etc. I've stayed in plenty of “back-to-basics” cabins, but they typically cost 50% less, and even they usually offer you some soap. Nice location on the river though, and the host is responsive.

Great locations and place. It was great after a long ride hanging out by the fire pit looking at the river. The only thing that would make this place better is a hot tub. That would have been amazing after long rides.

This place is clean & excellently maintained! The owners are friendly and very helpful. Location is just minutes from the trailhead! Loved the town of Gilbert and Rockhouse trails! Can’t wait to return! Highly recommend!
