El alojamiento es hermoso, el entorno es soñado para poder descansar y disfrutar de la naturaleza. Cuenta con piscina y un espacio para descansar alrededor de ella con en sillones muy cómodos. Las habitaciones son súper frescas y cómodas. El hotel se encuentra cerca de una cascada y relativamente cerca del pueblo de Minca, pudiendo disfrutar del entorno yendo a pie, eso definitivamente es un punto a favor. Los únicos puntos desfavorables tienen que ver en primer lugar con la comunicación con Isabella, pese a su buena disposición, demoraba mucho en responder, nos ofreció gestionar un taxi a Santa Marta y tuvimos que gestionarlo nosotros porque no respondió al momento de ir al hotel. En segundo lugar con el horario del bar, finaliza a las 2130, impide que se pueda aprovechar de las instalaciones mientras se toma algo, además de que demoran mucho en preparar cena o desayuno en las horas pico (40 minutos tardaron en ambas comidas, a pesar de que el desayuno solo eran huevos revueltos).

We loved our stay at La Veranda! This place is tucked in the mountains of Minca - close enough to town that we could easily moto-taxi or walk but far enough away that the property felt secluded. I was a little worried ahead of time since this is a hostel/hotel but the pool area was so peaceful and there was no noise at night. The room was on the small side but for a few nights it was totally manageable. We’re both vegan and were happy to find the on-site restaurant had a couple options (plus non-dairy milks for coffee/granola). The drinks from the bar were all delicious (try the spicy mojito and the non-alcoholic mango soda…you won’t regret it)! We ate frequently at the little pizza restaurant down the road (Ijka) and highly recommend stopping by. There is a hidden waterfall off the property (with a small entry fee) that felt very secluded and private even in the middle of the day. Overall we were so happy we chose to stay at La Veranda and highly recommend it!

A lovely Air BnB in the jungle, but spoilt by its customer service! Check in was brill and on our arrive we were very happy. The service in the restaurant / bar was very poor. They didn’t have several items and the service was slow, we even had to remind them about our orders. On one occasion, they even got into an argument about who would make it. When we came to check out, we were hit with a 10% service charge. Which we didn’t pay. Also, the receptionist rips you off with taxis, calling his friends which are double the price! Overall a beautiful location, hostel and environment, but let down by its poor staff.

This place is amazing! If you love nature and/or you are an avid birder this hotel will delight you! So many species of birds come to visit the trees surrounding the hotel and there are many beautiful hummingbirds visiting the feeders by the dining area. We were in a constant state of amazement. Our room was pristine with a hot shower and a comfortable bed. The hotel is nice and peaceful during the day and night, so it’s a great place to unwind and relax. The pool is so refreshing after tanning on the deck. The wifi was fast and reliable too. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and they make great drinks and food at the hotel restaurant. We booked a birding tour through the reception at the hotel and that was an amazing experience as well. There are so many amazing species of birds, both migratory and endemic, in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta close to the hotel. Truly an amazing, amazing stay. Definitely recommended!!
