While we couldn’t stay the entire time for other reasons, we enjoyed the day we spent there, and would’ve loved to explore further. The property was beautiful, and the home was really lovely! We enjoyed visiting purse state park, and fossil hunting! We wish there were more restaurants in the area, but there was a clever little fast food convenience store not far! We would happily stay here again!!

We will be staying here again. It was an ideal spot for letting the dogs play, easy walks down to the Potomac, and a kitchen that had what we needed for cooking and eating there. Daniel and Mary were excellent hosts, and for the few things we needed, they were immediately responsive. It was straightforward and easy. The bed was super comfortable, and I always appreciate a nice leather sofa for lounging and reading.

Mixed reviews… We were disappointed to see “beware of firearms signs” posted along the property line. While the listing states it is great for hunters, fishermen, nature lovers, and photographers, it does not state that the place also is this site of K&M Outfitters, which is a hunting gig. We would not have rented had we known this. The listing should be more transparent about this as well as that there are other buildings on the complex. Otherwise, the place is as described. We enjoyed the indoor fireplace. Lots of precut wood. Sunsets on the dock. Nice spot to enjoy nature – a variety of birds, including a bald eagle, and dozens of white-tailed deer.
