Location is excellent. An historic part of LA at the base of the mountains, adjacent to upscale neighborhoods. The traffic on Rosemead is medium loud, until the late night and early morning when it gets quiet. There are other people on the property; there being a back house, and multiple units in the building that housed my room. It’s a good neighborhood. I didn't notice any homeless, or thug presence. The cleanliness is second rate. A little icky, but not too scary to use. The smoke alarm had no battery, and was not hardwired. No air conditioner, but plenty of windows, and a fan. The mattress was a piece of foam. And the mattress cover was worn to the point of being useless. We did not get any bug bites. Eclectic furnishings; I find this to be very entertaining. But if you prefer new things, then it’s not for you.

Excellent place! Went for the game at the Rose Bowl and the place was very clean and the whole process was seamless. Would recommend.
