Impossible to convey in a short review just how happy we were with our stay. The exact right blend of amenities, cottage charm, abundant space for rest, congregating and play, and the kitchen lacked nothing. The bunkie was such a nice quiet spot to escape to for the couple in our group who likes a slightly more rustic woodsy experience - yet a stones throw from the main house. The lake is quiet, clean, and full of very eatable fish if that’s your thing - we caught 3 huge ones! Everything from the ample fresh towels and linens to the games room to the sunsets at the dock and screened gazebo. From someone who has grown up cottaging and now loves to share that with others who haven’t always had this kind of experience I assure you that this cottage hosted by this lovely couple is the real deal, a true gem, and not to be missed. Very private large property, yet only a 5 min drive from the very cute village of Kearney. I hope to return again and again! Thanks Pam and Colin for hosting us!!

Pam's cottage is pretty idyllic - private, quiet, on a lake that was connected to others which made for great adventuring in kayaks up rapids, and west-facing for beautiful sunsets. Loved that everything we needed was there, from firewood to propane, linens and towels, garbage bags and paper products to watercraft and marshmallow sticks. When you've had to bring all your own supplies for other cottages, and have had to drive your garbage home because dump day and check-out day don't align, you appreciate all these little touches. Beds were comfortable, hot water was plenty after "polar plunges" in the lake, and everything we needed to cook for 12 could be found in the kitchen. Given the cool nights, we didn't need the A/C but there were fans everywhere for circulation which made sleeping a dream. Also loved that the sunroom was almost soundproof - teleconferencing husbands couldn't be heard with the sliding door closed - a true gift of peace :)! I want to go back!

Cottage is located in a beautiful area by the lake which is very calm and quiet, Everything was good except two beds which we were miss informed by the pictures and description of the listing, basically this cottage has two sections which two of the beds are located in a single small barn type thing which does not have gas heating, it has a wood fireplace to heat the space and a very steep stairs to climb up. we were counting on those two beds but we could not use them.

Hi Pam - thanks for a lovely stay at your beautiful cottage ! First of all, we appreciated your warm welcome upon arrival and your overview of the amenities offered. The cottage had everything we needed, was so clean and well appointed, and the layout of the place was so accommodating for our family of couples and singles. We really enjoyed the sunroom in the early morning - with the the patio door to the main house closed , our early risers could sit and enjoy looking at the lake and talking over a cup of coffee without waking the rest of the household. We also enjoyed the loft - so comfortable and it gave the feeling of so much space. Both the inside and the outside dining areas have ample space for a large family; we especially enjoyed eating at the long wooden table on the deck with the water view. The lake was refreshing and clear; perfect for canoeing and kayaking and boating, and the dock is the ideal spot to enjoy the beautiful sunsets or morning mist on the water. The bunkie is a fun and cozy added feature to the charm of the place. And the raspberries growing all around the place - delicious! We appreciated too, Pam, your prompt attention to the filter to ensure that we had plenty of water for showers. We highly recommend this most beautiful property and cottage and it's friendly and accomodating hostess!
