great appartement and the host, the only minus was that we were expecting an appartement with the balcony, with nice roothtop view, and as was shown in the picture when booking, but we were given the one without the balcony, a bit disappointing

We were two couples and stayed six nights at Alena+s very nice apartment. I wondered a little why she had a sofa-bed in the second bedroom, a medium size bed would easily have fitted in there, and is of course more comfortable. But we had good rest, and there may be other reasons for the sofa. All communication was super, and the location is the best. Thanks and all the best.

We had a wonderful stay at Alena's apartment! We were a family of 4 that stayed for 7 nights. The apartment is on a higher floor of what is essentially a brand new building. Everything was new and clean. Floor to ceiling windows are in the main living area and both bedrooms. They face opposite directions and you can get a great cross breeze when the windows are open. There was plenty of room for us, and it was a big bonus having two full bathrooms. The beds are on the firmer side but that wasn't an issue for us. We used the combo washer/dryer multiple times and it worked well. The location was perfect for us. It's an easy 10 minute walk to get into the heart of Old Town. We walked to everything we went to, including the Riga Central Market, the Occupation Museum, and the Riga Ghetto and Holocaust Museum. Riga is a very walkable city so the only time we used a cab was getting to/from the airport. On the corner a half block away is a great bakery with excellent coffee/pastries. A block away there is a multi-story mall that has a full grocery store, a fresh fruit stand, and 3 rooftop restaurants with excellent food/drinks and great views of Riga. The area felt perfectly safe walking around at any time of day/night. Alena and her team were very responsive before our trip and whenever we had questions during our stay. She made she we had everything we needed, including extra umbrellas. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this apartment as a place to stay and Alena as a host!
