This was our second time staying here and again it was amazing! Great area and a fantastic host!

When we arrived at the apartment we immediately had 2 problems: 1. Sheets and pillows full of hairs, so we hand picked and removed all of them for the first night and we asked the host to change them for the next night. The host didn’t even apologize for the fact that the room wasn’t cleaned up, however the next day we had our sheets and pillows changed 2. Most relevant problem: Lock broken. We couldn’t lock the door because it was broken so we couldn’t leave any personal belongings into the room. After having pointed it out 2 times and got no response from the host, we decide to contact airbnb support explaining the situation and try to solve the situation. Long story short we had to carry our backpacks with our valuable stuff with us for the first 2 days of the stay because we couldn’t look the door, and find another place where to spend the rest of the vacation booking with a 1-day notice, ending up paying a lot more than expected. Communication with the host pretty impossible

A great place to stay in Otsu, grocery store 100 feet away, great little shops and restaurants around the surrounding area and of course, beautiful Lake Biwa right down the road. The accommodations were perfect and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Otsu!
