Perfect spot to stay in Gora. Could easily get around. It’s up a hill though so you need to be able access it

Our family of 3 adults and 2 kids had a very nice stay. Quite large well furnished vacation rental apartment with a great big balcony and plenty of natural light. Just know it’s a bit on the older side in case you want something brand new. View of the mountain and a bit of the ocean. The private onsen is definitely a plus! Full kitchen is really well equipped. There is a Lawson convenience store down the hill to buy food/drink. A walk up a big hill from Gora station or the one before it, but we ended up arriving by cab so didn’t have issues getting there with our bags. The Hakone Open Air museum down the hill is beautiful and well worth a visit. Also easy walk to the cable car that connects to the Hakone Ropeway. We found eating out at night in Hakone a bit tricky as many restaurants were closed or closed early, and the grill down the street had no more reservations available - not sure if that’s due to the time of year we were there.

My wife and 7 month old daughter and I recently stayed at this beautiful apartment in Gora, Hakone. The place was spacious, beautiful, and clean. The onsen was a wonderful feature, especially for us travelling with a young child which made use of the public onsens more problematic. The location was great too, a short but uphill walk from Gora station, with local restaurants within a 1 to 5 minute walk from the apartment. For lovers of excellent quality coffee, visit Coffee Camp near Gora Station - this was so good we went three days in a row. Check in instructions were very clear and the host was very responsive to questions. Would highly recommend this place for couples and families. We would come back again for sure!
