The location is fantastic--close to many Cape amenities and in a peaceful, natural setting. The "my trip" info on Del Mar's online site is not accessible to some phone users. It is a known problem, but perplexing that it is not fixed given the high impact (many users; important information). Del Mar compensates for the online site info by very responsive staff and emails. (I contacted staff several times). The cleaning crew did a good job before we arrived. The cottage is poorly maintained (might be expected/acceptable for guests with dogs?): - Peeling plywood on interior doors - Missing drawer pulls - Bathroom contains rusting hardware and shower pan leaks - Bathroom: Double-glazed window outer pane is broken - Venetian blinds' springs are weak and might not retract - "Eclectic" furnishing (no color or style or age theme) "Basic" items are missing: - Drying rack for dishes (no dishwasher) - Bathroom hand soap and shampoo. (There is dish soap in kitchen.) Plus: Board games, TV

Don’t waste your money. We went three days without hot water, and the manager did not offer me more than a $200.00 dinner credit for our inconvenience, not a substantial refund in my opinion. After repeated calls over two weeks, no manager would not call me back to discuss an adequate refund amount. The cottage was substandard and outdated. This property is in need of updates and repairs and Del Mar properties are not suitable for renting out to customers. I would not recommend Del Mar properties to anyone.
