We stayed in Kyoto over the week between Christmas and New Year’s. This was a perfect place for our large group—we rented the entire building. Location was great—quiet street but quite close to bus and subway lines, the train station, the grocery, lots of restaurants, and the river. The building was quiet and each of us had our own space (and bathroom) but could convene in the common area downstairs. Electric kettles and mini-fridges were in every room. I would stay here again, or look into other Kyotofish properties as Karen was a friendly and very responsive host.

I love this place. My second time staying here and it’s great. The rooms are small but comfortable and have all that you need. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood with cool cafes and bars and easily walkable to Gion. So well priced as well. Thanks for having me.

This was a fantastic place to stay, Karen was a wonderful and helpful host, and the amenities were magnificent. Will happily stay here when I’m next in Kyoto

This is a great place to stay in Kyoto. It is in a quiet neighbourhood by the river but its easy to walk or get the metro to anywhere in the city. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped (go for rooms on 3rd and 4th floor for better views) and there are some excellent local cafes nearby. Karen was super helpful and I have already booked to come back. Really recommend this place.
