Noch nie war ich in einer so verwarlosten Unterkunft! Die Fotos im Inserat sind 5 Jahre alt und es sieht aus, als ob seit damals nichts mehr gemacht wurde. Das Moskitonetz ist völlig verschmutzt. Zimmer winzig und das einzige Regal brach beim Abstellen einer kleinen Tasche zusammen.Ich habe es dann repariert, damit wir unser Gepäck aus dem Weg räumen konnten,da man sich sonst im Raum nicht mehr hätte bewegen können. Es gab keine Möglichkeit einen Tee zu kochen. Das Klo ist sehr tief in den Boden eingelassen und nahe an der Wand, dass eine Benutzung nur für Kinder problemlos möglich ist. Für Tisch und Stühle war kein Platz im Zimmer. Sitzmöglichkeiten musste man sich bei der Vermieterin besorgen. Leider waren diese Stühle auch kaputt. Mangels eines Abfalleimers im Zimmer musste man den Müll zu einer Sammelstelle tragen. Die Krönung des Ganzen war die Matratze. Sie hatte in der Mitte eine so starke Vertiefung, dass man unmöglich mit 2 Personen darauf hätte schlafen können. Nie wieder!!!
It's more like homestead where you are invited than a hotel. Nice gardens and nice surroundings. Food is delicious, but slightly overpriced for what you get.

Good Vibes Eco Lodge is a truly magical place. The location is amazing- it's quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. You are surrounded by beautiful nature, lush garden, birds, fruit trees, baobabs, and the nearby river. The lodge is beautiful. We felt extremely comfortable and cosy, it had everything we needed. Most importantly, Ami and her family are the best and kindest hosts we have met during our travels. They made us feel like a part of the family. Ami's food is delicious - probably the best we tried in the Gambia, and her place has become the highlight of our trip. We only wish we had booked a longer stay (5 days was not enough - I can guarantee you will want to extend your stay once you are there). We left feeling like we made some truly beautiful friends and I hope we will have the chance to come back one day.
Such a relaxing visit! Amy was a welcoming and very friendly host. Very reasonably priced and delicious (vegetarian) meals prepared as well. Her daughter is a precious gem as well!

Welcome to our ever evolving homestead. It's a well-loved work in progress and it is also our family home where we farm and grow as much of our own food as possible. We really enjoy welcoming guests here because we believe it is a special place. Come explore our village, riverside and the surrounding bush. See birds, monkeys and maybe a croc! Enjoy the river at sunset by boat and then relax in our bantaba by candlelight and reggae.
