This is an honest review of pros and cons of my recent experience, not a “retaliation” Anh’s place has a curfew between 11:30pm-5:30am, that means absolutely no access to the apartment between this time, the building people make no exceptions. you can go out to a bar and come back to find out you are stuck outside on a shady street all night. What if i suffer a heart attack in the middle of the night? This listing shouldn’t even be allowed on airbnb!! Anh wrote about this closure in the rules, but the wording is not clear... as a native english speaker and 5-year airbnb veteran, i thought there was special access card or we need to pay to get in after hours. But there was no exceptions. Anh made no mention to this absurd rule while booking. Anh’s pictures were accurate about the inside of the unit, but what the pictures dont show: 1. The hallways leading to the unit is filthy 2. The rest of the building is filled by unfriendly neighbors who will yell at you in vietnamese, giving you dirty and uncomfortable stares. 3. The whole time i was worried about safety due to rude and noisy neighbors 4. There are pests in the unit, saw a cockroach, many ants in the kitchen and bugs Anh was also a unaccommodating host who refused to let me end the reservation early due to such a bad experience. She gave an irrelevant excuse and kept stalling the conversation so i had to stay for 2 more days. I should have just left to a different place. The positives: The place is very clean upon moving in, very spacious, furnitures are in good shape. Location is next to ben thanh market to most people thats a plus. Internet is fast. Buildings with curfews without exceptions shouldn’t be allowed on airbnb. There are many emergencies during a travel that would require last minute access in n out of the building at night. Anh is also an unaccommodating and unpleasant host. Overall i would not recommend this place to stay

Anh is very responsive and helpful throughout the booking, and the loft is uber cosy and quaint, with very thoughtful amenities. The loft is also spacious and very clean on arrival. Location was superb for young travellers and it’s very near Ben Thanh Market. Highly recommended!

The room is in the middle of the Saigon city with 1 minute walk to Ben Thanh Market. The apartment is on 3rd floor of an old local apartment building can be access by stairs. The room is nicely decorated with kitchen and 2 bathrooms . Good price. A bit noisy during day time as neighbors apartments going in and out of their home. The hallway looked dim and need more cleaning but when you are inside your apartment it’s a different world. Good choice if you are on budget and If you are ok with no in/out of the building between 11:00 PM - 05:30 AM policy.

Good location, the house is comfortable & clean, and the landlord is very nice!
