This apartment was overall very spacious and well furnished for a comfortable stay and included everything you might need for it. No cooking at all was possible since the gas for the hotplates is not installed, also there was no knifes, but the hosts told me they would provide all of this for longer stays. It is a great value overall but it has some negatives as well. One is the internet which is a portable wifi with limited bandwidth and low speeds. Another is the aircon in the living room which is too small for the space, and thus the apartment is a little warmer than expected, and the worst one is the nearby mosques which woke me up every night at 5am with their blasting prayers which even with earplugs can't be avoided as the apartment is on the 7th floor. This condo had a very smart design making it both smart and stylish and with unique apartment layouts and great amenities. It is however poorly managed by a company which does not take proper care of the common areas and which instituted policies that detract from the living experience such as implementing biometrics to all entry doors (both to the elevators and to the common areas) that require fingerprints or code (instead of the access cards which are the industry standard) and a policy to leave the jacuzzi off at all times unless someone asks for it. When you ask for the jacuzzi they say it takes 4 hours to warm but I could never get the it warm even after repeatedly asking for it on multiple days of my stay and waiting up to 8 hours for it, so the building management effectively cancelled one of the building amenities. The host also did not provide me a code for the door and thus I was always at the mercy of security and of other residents to be able to access my unit and the common areas.

Oky and her son Ghazy were amazing hosts for our extended stay in Jakarta, and the apartment exceeded our expectations in almost every way. We were honored to be their first AirBnB guests and strongly recommend this apartment for those like us who want more of a home feel over a hotel, while still having the experience of warm hospitality from both the hosts and the building security and staff. While Jakarta is quite large and can be hard to get around in, we found the apartment to be fairly centrally located, especially for our needs. Getting picked up by Grabcar or GoCar is quite easy as you can plug in the lobby of the building and wait in a pleasant and secure indoor location until you are picked up. For food, there is Kem Chicks just downstairs below the apartments, a grocery store that has a variety of foods from around the world. Meanwhile, there is plenty of cheap and delicious local choices in a variety of street food stalls just across the road. One thing we especially loved were the amazing views, as the apartment is situated at the end of the tower and so has not one, not two, but three different views (one of which can be seen from the tub in the master bathroom 🛁). What really spoke to us about the place, however, was the farewell we received. Both of our wonderful hosts insisted on making sure they were able to say farewell to us, and made us feel like departing family rather than just paying guests. It’s this kind of special touch that makes us keep using AirBnB, and seeking out the rare home away from homes like Oky and Ghazy’s place.
