A 20 min drive from Arugam Bay.. Ideal place if you want your home comforts and some peace n quiet but still close enough to all the action. Saman who looks after the property is super and will take care of all your needs

Beautiful location, great pool/s, Saman was kind to show us the way in to The villa and grab us some dinner from a local Restaurant. A good place to hang out Next to a deserted beach.

This is a classic beach house you might expect of any established family. It is well built and homely. The floors are tiled throughout and the orientation allows for shaded windows to be opened at any time of day to allow a cooling breeze. It is set close enough to the beach for immediate access and views but far enough to mute the incessant crashing of the waves of the Indian Ocean. There are good curtains that make it easy to sleep after dawn, nor noisy Muezzin or crows you get further South. There was the occasional dog bark but the house is equipped to be able to shut windows and doors at night, the fans providing sufficient cooling, but A/C available if you must. Another luxury is hot water, unusual here. The bedrooms are all en-suite, the living room is small and comfortable, the kitchen is quite basic and not 'fitted', but with a good fridge and gas stove top. The staff, Saman and Mahendran (who were at the same time attentive and discreet - they have their own quarters so you only see them when you need them) helped to set up to BBQ (in my case fish, bought from fishermen at Kottukal Point). I brought in a 20L bottle of drinking water. There are 4 family dogs on site in kennels (not standard Sri Lankan dogs), which are around and will come for a walk with you on the beach. The beach is narrow and steep at the access point and the best place to get into the water is 200m to the left (North) of the house, where the water entry is more gently shelved but then drops off quickly to 3m. The waves look more intimidating than they are (entering on sand) and once you get past them the water is relatively calm if a strong wind isn't blowing. But the rest of this part of the coast is rocky (sometimes hidden), not a good combination with breakers, so you should enter and exit at this point. I did not check the beach above the lagoon entry point at the village itself (North). While I was there, a pool complex was being built. I accessed the property by Tuktuk and scooter. I didn't want to leave once I was on-site. You can also walk down the beach (7km) to Whisky Point if you feel in the need for served food. Neesha is a very helpful and responsive host, including directing me to the right meds when I got a foot infection and the staff were the best I came across in Sri Lanka. A very good stay

We loved absolutely everything about our stay. Communication with Neesha was great. The house has the most amazing location and the view is so beautiful. The house has 4 big bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (HOT water). Saman the caretaker, was very helpful and kind. Would highly recommend staying here! We would love to come back someday.
