Shalom Guest House was started out of the realization of the need for decent Hospitality services in Bugiri. It is ideal for relaxation, holiday, retreat and work. At Shalom, we offer decent accommodation and Conference Facilities with two conference Halls that seat 100 and 50 people respectively. They are ideal for meetings, workshops and or training. Our meals served with a bottle of soda or water is savory and delicious but prepared on order. Our environment is neat , well lit and homey which combined with polite, ethical and well-mannered staff will make your stay with us pleasantly memorable.

This guest house is a lovely place for anyone who is accustomed to Africa or wishes to become accustomed. It is simple, clean, safe and friendly. The staff are very quick to offer help. As a fairly simple place,it offers sleep, hot water for a shower, a.clean toilet and electricity (most of the time) :-) The host has gone beyond the usual amnenties and put a large fan in the room. I had a lovely stay and would book there again.

Shalom Guest House is within Bugiri Town along Iganga Malaba/ Busia road. It is about 55 Kilometers to Malaba Boarder point and 40 Kilometers to Busia Boarder points ( All accessible by a smooth all weather roads. Guests can easily find fresh fruits if it is the season and access local restaurants if they want to try out local cuisine . For site seeing, guests can are able to see the abundant forest Baboons in Busitema forest which is about 25 kilometers along the main road. They can also travel to Bishop Hannington Memorial site in Mayuge District whihc is about 100 Kilometers. For those who would like to visit the source of the Nile in Jinja, it takes about 1 Hour to travel by road.

Transport within Bugiri and the neighbouring districts is by special hire or public transport whose transport vary depending on the journies one is taking. Another common
means of transport is the Boda Boda ( a motorcycle hired to ride you to where you want). Guests are however advised to be fully dressed in protective gear before they hike a ride.
Otherwise the Guest House is able to support guests identify and negotiate for transport at a reasonable rate.
