While I am very familiar with Kissamos I was more than delighted with the location and the presentation of the property. The location is excellent as it is within walking space for all the amenities of Kissamos and also provides private parking which is a luxury in these Greek towns. The property was beautifully appointed with quality furnishing and fittings, a well equipped and modern kitchen and high quality fixtures, fridge, washing machine, stove etc. The host provided starters for all household items and cleaning products and also stocked fridge with milk, water etc. More than anything the outstanding quality of this stay is the hospitality of the host and her lovely family who live close by. They are supportive, caring and also respect your privacy . I lost count of the extras with the little gits of fruits, vegetables ( from the garden behind the house) home cooked treats and all offered with charm and smiles.

My sister and I stayed at Maria’s place for 3 days. The house is beautiful and spacious with a lovely garden. It’s even nicer than the pictures :). We were welcomed by the host with home made pie, water melon from the garden and typical drink. We even had free access to the garden where we could take tomatoes, cucumber … I totally recommend this place. The location is also perfect to reach the most famous beaches (Balos, Falasdarna etc..) 5 stars out of 5 is a easy score to assigned as everything was perfect. Thank you Maria hope we’ll meet again. I stayed here for 1 month in August with my boyfriend and it was one of my favorite Airbnb stays ever. It's owned by a sweet local Cretan family and we experienced Greek hospitality at it's finest. The neighbors, Giorgos and Roula, were phenomenal and fed us homemade food and vegetables and fruits from their garden. The owner, Maria, and her nephew Tasos made sure our stay was perfect from check in to check out. Bless them all. Location: Walkable to everything in Kissamos. We only rented a car for part of our time here to go out of Kissamos, but you won't need a car if you're staying in town. 10 minutes walk to Mauvros Molos beach, 3 minutes walk to a supermarket, 5 minutes to many restaurants. It's also a short drive to Falassarna beach (15 mins). Bus stop to/from Chania is 2 mins walk. The house: Perfectly cleaned and newly renovated with a large front and back garden (with flowers, fruits, veggies, chickens) and parking. Plenty of space for 2 and enough space for a family. It has a full kitchen ready for cooking (oil & spices) and an outdoor dining area on the front porch. Comfortable queen size bed with hotel level pillows, linens, and towels. Well-equipped bathroom with washing machine, luxury shower, and basic toiletries like hair dryer, soap & shampoo, toilet paper, & first aid kit. Maria put a lot of effort to ensure that the house is fully stocked with everything you need and made a homemade traditional dessert for us when we arrived. Pet friendly: Our dog loved the garden and it's completely fenced in and safe to let a dog roam free. Overall: 5/5 and would come here again. Come have an enjoyable and authentic Greek experience and support a local Cretan family instead of a large corporate hotel.
