It was really nice, being by the creek that our dog LOVED there was a shower and he even had outlets in the tents. A short drive to the hiking trails at Cheaha state park it was really fun.

You have to stay here! This is my first review of a place I have visited and stayed at. Not that they weren’t great, I just am not a reviewer if you will. Since you’ve already gotten to the review part then click no further. I’m not kidding. Do it. Put your dates in. Whisky River is heaven on earth. Literally perfect and so nice and accommodating. Very helpful and genuine good people. Took my soon for his first race at Talladega and his 12th birthday. That’s right. You read it correctly, I’m a cool mom BUT not as cool as this place! BOOK IT NOW!! You won’t be sorry. You’ll just come home 9hrs later and drink a few and possibly(I’m not for sure) she’d a tear for how thankful you are and for finally realizing it. That’s what this place does to you in just a few days.

We had a wonderful weekend here! We came to the area to explore Cheaha State Park, and this was a great place to come back to after a long day of hiking. Check in was smooth, and Paul is very welcoming and helpful--bringing us lighter fluid and equipment for the grill and helping to start the fire. The camp space is lovely with everything you'd need, and the sound of the creek is so peaceful. It's so easy to relax here, and we are definitely planning to come back!

I stayed at Hidden Creek as a stepping off point to explore Cheaha State Park. It was great for this purpose but also offered so much in and of itself. There are nice hikes on the property and the creek is beautiful and so nice to fall asleep to it’s sounds. The bed in the tent was surprisingly comfortable, have never gotten as good a nights sleep camping. Hosts were great, teaching me how to start a fire the first night and giving lots of great local tips. Would strongly recommend.
