The perfect combination of "cottage" and "house." Updated kitchen and 2 updated bathrooms, one on each floor. Comfy furniture and plenty of table space. The best part is the large wrap-around screened porch which allows conversation with everyone passing by. Be aware that this cottage has only a small heat source. Gary was clear on this, so when we saw it was going to be in the fifties at night, we brought 2 small space heaters. The very quaint double doors between the living room and the front porch have huge gaps which let in cold air on the main floor -- upstairs was plenty warm for sleeping. Perfect location a short walk to our family's rented home on the square. Very convenient with 3 parking spaces ... a sparse commodity inside the Lakeside grounds! The perfect place to return to Lakeside for a week in June following the life-long tradition of my family. Thank you Gary and family!

Horton Hollow is absolutely amazing. We needed extra space for the weekend and it was perfect. The beds were comfortable, plenty of paper products, about 800 feet from the lake. Gary does a great job of managing a quaint home.

Gary's place was amazing. It is an adorable Lakeside cottage. it felt honey and cozy, a great place to relax and enjoy the Lakeside amenities. The house is stocked with everything, just bring clothes and food and you are ready for a great stay.

This was our second time staying at Gary's house and we have already requested the same weekend next year. The house is wonderful, the neighborhood is peaceful and we love Marblehead in the spring.
