Pjs hideaway was a great little get away!! We loved that the kayak came with the rental and we went out for two 5 mile rides during our stay! Great place, right on the water:)

PJ’s Hideaway is an awesome spot for a relaxing getaway. We spent our days enjoying the water. It’s a quiet part of the lake (closest to the dam so boat traffic was light). We couldn’t have asked for a better setup and location. The small house had everything we needed. Joseph was often there and immediately handled any questions or requests that we had. We brought things (towels, camp chairs, floats, lanterns, etc) - but none of it was needed. Similarly was with food, drinks and snacks - he provides a lot! My suggestion is to check in and see all that he provides and only then make a quick trip to H-E-B or Walmart for your remaining supplies. From then on, it’s relaxing and enjoying time! This little hideaway is a modest cabin on a great piece of land on lake placid. The place is exactly as it looks in the pictures, was very clean and had everything you could need if by chance you forgot something. The two beaches are perfect to hang at during the day and the fireplace was wonderful at night! PJ provides a little bit of everything you could want to use all the amenities at the property. Highly recommend and will be coming back again!

My girlfriend and I stayed 2 Nights at PJ’s. We were extremely impressed by all aspects of our stay. Couldn’t beat location. On the Lake with a private sandy beach area. PJ supplied beach chairs, floatie rafts and plenty of towels. Nice set-up including BBQ very close to the water. Even had access to a 2 person kayak which we used and enjoyed. Home was perfect for us too. Super clean and stocked with lots of free food and drink items. Kitchen had all necessary items to prepare and enjoy several meals that we enjoyed both inside and out on the patio. Bed was very comfortable we loved the shower. While home is on smaller side the layout really gives you a lot of space. Liked the deck/patio. Perfect to look over the lake. Saw a dozen or so geese hanging out on the shore in the morning along with some baby deer. One night we were hit by a Texas size storm. We sat in the covered area of the deck, lit a fire in the outdoor fireplace listened to music and thoroughly enjoyed watching the rain and lightening show in our cozy little spot protected from the elements. PJ was a master host and extremely attentive to all our needs. Highly recommend PJ’s for a great getaway spot!
