I booked this room at the last minute after arriving in Yuriria, because other hotels that I could find were closed down or else quite expensive by Mexican standards. I was in a rush because I only had one day to see Salvatierra and Yuriria. My intention was just to leave my stuff at the hotel and return a few hours later. I told the owner Ernesto that I was going straight to the hotel and he welcomed me by AirBnB message. I walked >1km with steep uphill from the centro to the address listed on AirBnB (22 Linda Vista) by Google maps, but as it turned out, it was incorrect. The Posada Regis is clearly indicated on the building facade but it's located on the opposite side of Joaquin Lopez Arias street. Then I learned the owner Ernesto was not even in town but in Mexico City, so that I needed to call the manager Mauricio to actually get in. When I called Mauricio, he said he was busy in town with personal matters and could not help me get in until later. He was the only one with the keys, and the Posada was not really a hotel as suggested in the misleading profile. There was no reception and no staff. Because I was in a rush, I had to continue on to Salvatierra carrying all of my belongings, because there was no way to leave my stuff anywhere. I returned to Yuriria a few hours later and Mauricio met me to let me in. He doesn't live on site. Inside it felt like an old abandoned hotel. The bathroom was grotty and there were mosquitoes because the screen windows were broken. This could be because of the Coronavirus quarantine, I can't be sure. But I didn't feel like I had any other choice for rooms in Yuriria. It wasn't good value for money by Mexican standards but I think there are few budget options in the town. This place should be booked in advance and with agreement on arrival times with the manager Mauricio, who is a friendly person.
