Filip was waiting for us when arrived and showed us how things work on the boat. It was all very straightforward and Filip is an excellent host. The design of the boat is unusual yet practical and stylishly done. Loads of storage space, very comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. We loved the location, a short walk to cool restaurants and bars and a bit further into town. All in all a very enjoyable break for our family of four and we would love to return one day.

Living on a barge is a one-off, unique experience and I miss it already. Stand outs: The big views, peaceful hood, proximity to restaurants, train station, supermarket, bike rental, beautifully crafted & appointed barge, and comfy beds. The space itself is exceptional and Filip is a lovely host, friendly & communicative. I will answer a couple things I wondered about before arriving: The living space is a separate building from the bedrooms but I never minded coming outside in the fresh air each morning before getting my coffee, it's a nice way to start the day. Both containers have bathrooms, the full one being with the bedrooms. The hood is wonderful, safe, residential. And it was a relief to be away from old town Gent which can begin to feel a little too magical/touristy if there too long (I stayed 1 month). That said...it's only a 15 walk (5min bikeride) there. A bike rental is easy from Dampoort Station (fietsambassade). Book this place. You won't regret it!!

Séjour original sur cette péniche spacieuse, bien équipée, climatisée et aménagée avec goût! Pas de clef, mais un code ou une appli pour activer/désactiver les fermetures : c'est pratique! A quelques minutes à pied se situe un petit supermarché où faire ses courses et le centre historique est à une vingtaine de minutes. A noter : le quartier étant en rénovation, les chantiers à proximité peuvent être bruyants de bonne heure. Filip est un hôte accueillant et réactif par téléphone : merci à lui! Et petite pensée pour le beau chat Marcel qui circule sur les quais et nous a honoré de ses visites!

Wir hatten eine super Zeit auf dem Boot. Filip hat uns freundlich empfangen und alles sehr gut erklärt. Es ist sehr sauber, top ausgestattet und hoch modern. Das ganze Boot und sein Konzept ist exraorxdinär. Auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen erlebt der Besucher eine völlig neue Wohnwelt. Sehrgut hat uns auch der Supermarkt in der Nähe gefallen. Stellplatz Gebühr für das Auto in der Garage um die Ecke ist gerade mal 6,-€ für 24 Stunden. Wir fühlten uns hier immer sicher und willkommen, bis zum nächsten Mal

We had a great time at the boat! Filip was very friendly and easy to reach by text message. He met us personally at the location and explained the boat and the digital systems well. Everything worked as discussed/discribed before. The City of Gent was good to reach by foot and the price of the parking lot in the near was ok.
