A gem... I would rent a room here for a long period of time if I didn't have an apartment already. So many amenities. What a steal. Karin was such an awesome person.

The Whispering Oak Mansion is even more beautiful than the description and pictures show. It looks like it was decorated by a professional. Karin is very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. I thought I reserved my room for two nights but I didn’t—if you’re a septuagenarian like me this is not an unexpected occurrence. Despite having reserved the room I was in for my “imagined second night,” she managed to let me stay in the same room for another night. I also met Peter (Piotr?) my first morning there and we spent a lot of time talking. Then as I was getting ready to go riding the canal, I couldn’t find my batteries for my Garmin GPS. Peter rushed off and came back with some. I would have liked to have stayed there longer to spend time with Karin and Peter. If I come back to the area in the future, I’ll be staying here again.

Great listing for the price and location to our event for the weekend. Would probably stay in one of the other rooms simply due to the noise from above in the morning and proximity to the shared bathroom. Everything else was pleasant and tidy. Karin really did think of all the little extras and the complimentary continental breakfast in the morning was absolutely perfect. Hope to stay here again for our event next fall.

Karin and Peter are the best Hosts, very responsive and accommodating, friendly and on top of things. Their place is pristine clean. This is the only place with a shared bathroom my wife accept to stay. We have stayed 2 times here for Triathlon events, it’s 4 minutes from the Venue, Lums Pond state park. They served us breakfast @5:30 am so we could go and race. It’s a fantastic place. We are coming back next year. I can’t recommend this place enough.
