Located in the shadow of historic Dover Castle the Cottage is within walking distance of the town centre and bus station (5 minutes) and railway station (10 minutes). It is also within a mile of Dover Castle, the international ferry port and cruise terminal. Dover town centre facilities include the newly opened St James retail and leisure park, five screen Cineworld, cafes, restaurants and pubs. The local area offers a number of historic attractions, parks and seafront. The kitchen/conservatory is full appointed with a fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, oven and hob, microwave, toaster, cafeteria and kettle. Tea, coffee, milk and breakfast items are provided. There is high speed wifi, Freeview TV with built-in DVD player with various DVDs available for you to watch. The cottage has central heating and a constant supply of hot water. The shower in the bathroom is electric so is available at all times. The living/dining area and kitchen are on different levels with a step down from the front door and a step up into the kitchen. The garden has a lower courtyard area and an upper lawn area. There is a table and chairs available for your use outside. The upper area is only accessible by steep steps. There is plenty of free onstreet parking available as this a quite cul de sac with houses only on one side of the road.

Loved our stay here, super easy walk to the train station/town centre/castle. Had everything we needed for a 4 night stay and very clean. Lovely touch having breakfast items (including oat and soy milk for us fussy folk!). Also Stephen was very responsive and helpful, he even popped over and left us a hairdryer after I messaged to say I couldn’t find one! Would highly recommend :)
Amazing place! Perfect location for Central Dover, absolutely spotless, beautifully equipped, and fully stocked with everything we needed for breakfast for a few days. Great communication, just perfect! I’ve tried to book again, but unsurprisingly he’s booked up well in advance!

It was a wonderful English experience, close to everything there is to do in Dover. Our lovely host provided us with all of the essential things one would want and need while traveling which was a great touch. It’s clear he cares a great deal about his home and his guests stay.
We came to Dover for a mini family holiday with our 4 year old daughter, and Stephen’s house was fantastic. He was always responsive and helpful, self check-in was a breeze, and we were delighted to find small tokens of entertainment left out for our daughter (crayons, colouring books etc). The breakfast items provided also made the start of each day quick and comfortable- we felt right at home, and the house was walkable to all the sights! Highly recommend!

There are numerous local attractions to visit including Dover Museum housing the Bronze Age Boat gallery, Roman Painted House Museum, Crabble Corn Mill, the White Cliffs of Dover and castles of Dover, Walmer and Deal.
Dover is also close the Canterbury, Deal, Folkestone, and Margate which are easily accessible by both car and public transport. London is only one hour and five minutes away by the High Speed 1 rail link.
