The location can't be beat, and the place has lots of charm. I always appreciate a place with good shades which keep things dark and allow for better sleep (along with a comfortable mattress). Our kids slept well in the second bedroom, too. We were very comfortable here, and had a great time, especially for the price. There were a few maintenance issues, especially in the bathroom: the bathtub didn't drain well, a light flickered, and the window shades in the wouldn't close so we had to hang a towel up for privacy. There were also a few amenities mentioned that were missing (shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and a hair dryer). These issues aside, we had a great time here, and would likely come back.

I stayed an extra night, I thought this place was great overall. The location is awesome and the neighbors were really nice. The brand new kitchen is cool. I loved the king mattress and the nice 100% cotton sheets and towels, and there are some surviving old architectural details that are cool. The owners were pretty responsive and answered right away when I locked myself out at night, which I was very thankful for. In addition, I am always thankful when places accept dogs as I'm traveling with my sweet senior dog. The bathroom needs some love. The shower was not a good experience: the curtain liner was moldy, the water didn't get very hot, the pressure was weirdly too high, and it didn't drain at ALL. I don't like standing in 8in of water. There were other issues with the bathroom as well; it just needs some attention. This is the reason I couldn't give 5 stars.

What an incredible stay. Such a great place, tons of historic charm, with modern amenities. Amazing neighborhood, so much to do. We were there for 5 days and never needed a car. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. It was exactly what I'd hoped for, and much much more.
