We were disappointed by our stay. As we arrived there was a big construction site at the location, which made us very insecure if we were even at the proper location. The construction work started every day at 9 am the latest - not really the time you want to wake up with jet lag on holiday. There were a lot of construction workers at the location. The construction workers were looking and waving at us when we were in the bathroom. The apartment was cleaned every two days, but unfortunately the cleaning staff let several insects in, which wasn’t a nice surprise as going to the shower after a long beach day. The AC was super loud and made cracking noises. The kitchen wasn’t really well equipped, so even preparing breakfast was challenging. As it rained, water was dropping from the ceiling. We did expect a different accommodation and don’t think that the price matches the apartment. We definitely would not come again.

We had a truly wonderful time at Casa D‘oro, which is situated on the hillside overlooking the Indian Ocean and Silhouette and North islands. Lydia was a very nice host, meeting us already very early in the morning to show us the way to the house and for check-in. We were greeted with some fresh fruit and a welcome drink. The road to the house is steep and was challenging the first time by car, but we got used to it very quickly and did not have any problems getting up to the house. There’s a very nice beach (sunset beach) just a 5-10 min walk down/up the hill from Lydia’s house. We liked sunset beach more than Beau Vallon since it is quieter and really beautiful. Lydia was available for any questions at all time and provided recommendations for activities on Mahé and the other Seychelles islands. She also helped re-arranging our rental car booking. We can highly recommend staying at Casa D‘oro with its breathtaking view and very nice hosts.

Schöne Wohnung, sehr sauber gut ausgerüstete Küche, schöner Garten voll Orchideen, Pool durften wir alleine benutzen. Lydia gehört in die Kategorie Superhost! Sie kümmert sich um alles, organisiert Bootsfahrt oder Restaurants! Sie weiss über alles Bescheid! Sie ist auch eine gute Köchin und kocht sehr gerne für Gäste nach Absprache. Garantiert echt kreolisch! Einfach himmlisch, kommen gerne wieder Peter und Aurelia aus der 🇨🇭

Wir durften für eine Woche Gäste bei der tollen Gastgeberin Lydia sein. Sie hat uns vom ersten bis zum letzten Tag begeistert und uns jeden Wunsch förmlich von den Lippen abgelesen. Trotz unserer wenigen Englisch-Kenntnisse haben wir uns sehr gut unterhalten können. Sie hat uns bei der ebenso tollen Chantal reibungslos ein Auto organisiert. Hervorragend waren auch Lydia's Kochkünste bei einem Kreolischen Abend wo sie uns mit tollem Essen verwöhnte. Der Aufenthalt bei Lydia ist uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert. Sauberkeit, Ausstattung ,Zimmer , Bad , Küche waren sehr gut. Es war alles was man braucht vorhanden. Das Haus mit Pool hat eine hervorragende Aussicht auf den Ozean. Danke für die schöne Zeit.
