Located in an old neighbourhood of Tangier, the property and any guests are beautifully looked after by Amina and Mustafa. It comprises two lime washed villas, the upper house a mid century Tangerine hide away, the lower house a newly built by architect Cosimo Sesti. A short taxi ride to the Medina and a 15 minutes drive to the Atlantic Ocean, Lalla Yenou is situated in the tranquil neighbourhood of J’maa Mokra. Combining the charm of old Tangier with modern day amenities, Lalla Yenou - named after a local spring - is a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. The house is run by Amina and Mustafa. Amina is a brilliant cook and housekeeper while Mustafa is in charge of the garden and pool, and can also act as a driver for those not used to the Moroccan roads! The upper house has three bedrooms - two doubles and a twin (that can be made in to a double). One of the doubles and the twin room share a bathroom, while the other double has an ensuite shower room. It has a pink sitting room, a kitchen and two very nice terraces. The lower house has two large double bedrooms (one with a daybed that can be used as a child's bed), that open up straight into the garden and are 30 steps from the pool. One has an ensuite shower room and the other has a bathroom room right next door. It also has it's own kitchen and sitting room - and a terrace with a long table which fits 12 - 14 people and where nearly all our meals are served during summer.
