My stay at the coffee ranch was amazing. Phil and his team have done an amazing job as creating a beautiful garden with many places to sit and explore, it’s 10 times better than in the pictures, believe me. The location is super convenient, Uber is there in a second and is super affordable. The place has all the amenities that you will need for a very comfortable stay. I’ll definitely be back!
We stayed in the Panoramic View House and it was very clean, well designed, and has a great view. The garden was perfect for walking around and spending the day. This is a unique place close to the city. Highly recommended.
Our neighborhood is a mix of ex-patriots and Costa Ricans living on large estates and smaller homes. Here you can walk to the boundaries of a national park and if lucky you can see white face monkeys. The northeast part of the central valley is the first area to receive the prevailing Caribbean winds purified by miles of Braulio Carrillo National Park cloud forests bordering our neighborhood. Or stroll through the farmer's market in front of a historic church. We are minutes away from small romantic restaurants, large family restaurants with great views and a trendy Italian eatery featuring jazz nights. It's the real Costa Rica the way you would want to live it.
Everyone loves our local driver Jose. He takes you to your destination and then returns to bring you back to the ranch. Many guests simply use him for the entire day. A local taxi to San Isidro is only $2 and arrive in minutes. Buses leave every 15 minutes to Heredia and San Jose, from where you can board direct buses to all parts of Costa Rica. The intentional airport and the domestic airport are 30 minutes away.

Hi I’m Phil. They call me Diego here in Costa Rica. I’m from San Diego, a native Californian, domestic and international Real Estate investor, who arrived in Costa Rica in 1990. My daughter Kalina and I own a beautiful 100-acre vineyard property in Temecula California, and now a boutique coffee ranch in one of the most beautiful areas of Coffee Country Costa Rica. Our micro mill coffee farm processes coffee beans naturally by sun drying the coffee fruit. As the author of Costa Rica Now / Travel Live and Own in Paradise, with over 30 years of in-country experience, I’ll help you get the MOST OUT OF YOUR VACATION by recommending where to visit according to what you want to do, and the time of the year. Pura Vida!!! See you in Costa Rica!!!
