Rock · 民居里的独立房间 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · Stunning B&B retreat in Rock, Cornwall
You’ll love my place because it is in a great location in the heart of Rock and the Camel Estuary, along Cornwall’s wild Atlantic coast. Contemporary architecture, log stove, light-filled rooms and a quiet secluded garden. Great for couples, solo adventurers, walkers – anyone looking for that special retreat where you can relax away from the hustle bustle of city life. Off-street parking, pubs/restaurants and shops nearby, family-friendly activities, public transport. My place is a contemporary, light-filled house, with a large south-facing garden for guests to enjoy. The rooms are spacious and beautifully-decorated, with comfortable beds. This is a large spacious double room (king) with its own bathroom next door and sitting area with TV in the bedroom. We provide 400 thread count Egyptian cotton bed linen, Egyptian cotton bath, hand towels, face cloths, plus bath mats, hand soaps and shampoo. Breakfast is included for our guests and this is usually served between 7-9am. Coffee and tea will often be served at 11am and 4pm in the garden, weather permitting. Guests have their own kettle, cafetiere, coffee and tea essentials in their room. We use locally-sourced organic produce whenever we can. We are here to ensure you have a memorable stay. We can offer a twin-bedded room downstairs, with its own dedicated shower room and WC along the corridor, if preferred. Just let us know when you enquire to book. Please note we have a very friendly black and white cockerpoo living in the house.
We chose Rock due to it's closeness to Padstow (by ferry) but because it's much less busy. Belinda's home was beautiful as shown in the photos, she immediately made us feel at home, introducing us to our room and private bathroom. Belinda's welcome pack was the most comprehensive we have ever seen! Her home is opposite all the local shops, and is very close to Sharp's Brewery and the harbour front which has lots of restaurant choices. Loved Belinda's company and you will also meet her cute dog, Phidra.
Staying with Belinda was like visiting a home from home delicious breakfast and cake with afternoon tea was a real treat. Belinda clearly enjoys sharing her beautiful home with guests. We would definitely see if Belinda had vacancies if we were to return to Rock.
Absolutely lovely stay. It is the perfect location for everything. Belinda was the most welcoming host and we could not have asked for any more. Would definitely stay again.
We had a very enjoyable 3 days in the garden cabin, which has recently been completed. (We were booked into the main house, but were offered the choice of the cabin, which is more private). It is very small, but well appointed and to a high standard. Belinda was a wonderful host, producing a great breakfast each morning, and being very helpful with local restaurants and things to do. If you are looking for an old fashioned B&B accommodation, with very personal touches and being well looked after, then Belinda's place is well worth a stay!
The pre arrival information and communication was excellent. Easy to find and parked outside. Welcomed in as if we were part of her family. Easy going host and a joy to chat with. Plenty to read at the property and had we stayed longer and the weather was finer would certainly have used the south facing garden. Room was well sized and bed comfortable. All spotless. We stayed as B&B guests and there was plenty of beautiful quality food to eat. We sat and ate and chatted. There was a comprehensive accommodation instruction and local information guide in the room. It was a delight to stay.
The house lies in the heart of Rock on the Camel Estuary and only a 5 minute drive to the nearest sandy beach. Great location to explore Cornwall and its north Atlantic coast. It is also a great stop-off point for those travelling further west.
This is a wonderful part of Cornwall, with golden sandy beaches close by; surfing, sailing, stunning cliff top walks, the South West coastal path; fine restaurants (3 are Michelin starred), great traditional pubs, and cafes nearby down by the ferry, all serving great locally sourced produce.
The Rock-Padstow ferry runs regularly throughout the year during daylight and at certain times of the year there is a water taxi in the evenings.
Stunning walks all around the area, including the South West Coastal Path.
If driving to Cornwall, it is connected well with the rest of the UK via the M5 and the A30 (dual carriageway) and A39.
Newquay Airport 18 miles (approx 30 minutes) with flights to many destinations including London Heathrow, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Cork and Faro.
Bodmin Parkway 16 miles (approx 32 minutes) has a direct daily service and overnight sleeper service to London Paddington. Daily trains to Bristol and the north from here, too.
Local bus stop 20 yards. Services to Port Isaac, Tintagel, Wadebridge and Bodmin.
