Had a lovely stay at Sylva's cottage. It was perfect for a relaxing family break, and the island is just stunning.

Sylva was responsive. Very kind and easy to plan with. Space was excellent, kids loved the paddle boards.

I’m surprised this home is 4.8 stars, our summer vacation here was very disappointing. We expected to find a clean cottage based on previous reviews, but when we arrived we noticed immediately that the basement reeks of mold, and there is actual visible mold spores growing on furniture. Every night we went to bed coughing and scratching our eyes like crazy (due to mold irritation). Aside from mold: - bugs like earwigs, spiders all over the inside of home - uncomfy beds and couches - inconvenient home, no drinkable water, no dishwasher, no laundry, only provided with 1.5 rolls of toilet paper for our family - no sheets, towels or pillows provided, found this out after asking host ourselves. Given one towel to wipe counters and our hands - all dishes are made of plastic so you can’t microwave anything - although we paid a cleaning fee, we were given unclear checkout instructions to “leave the home presentable”, and asked to clean the floors, etc. I would not recommend this place.

Un séjour dans le calme, au bord de l'eau. Nous avons adoré notre passage sur l'île. Nous y étions pour relaxer et c'est ce que nous avons fait. Nous avons pu faire du paddle board sur le lac et profiter de la grande cour extérieure. Nos enfants ont beaucoup joué avec les fusils à l'eau et autres jeux laissés sur place. Nous avons dû nous adapter à la faible pression d'eau pour nos douches. Il faut prévoir que 2 personnes ne peuvent pas nécessairement prendre leur douche une après l'autre et les douches sont de très courte durée. C'est le seul aspect dont j'aurais aimé être informé pour mieux apprécié mon passage. Sinon, la maison est grande, l'espace est agréable.

I travelled with my kids (both early 30's) here for our annual family vacation. Sylva's summer cottage was so much more than we had expected! My S brought his canoe, my D&I used the SUPs and we all enjoyed the water every day we were there. We only went off island twice to go biking, and spent the rest of the days on site enjoying everything right there; relaxing and reading in the hammocks, playing lawn games, enjoying evening fires, and just appreciating the beautiful sunsets from the dock. We all found something that we loved and enjoyed right there & there was no need to go out. Check out the Back Kitchen. The concept is so beautiful, and the volunteers and staff were so friendly. Everyone that we met on the island made us feel at home. The cottage was so comfortable and quiet, having everything we needed.
