Everything went smooth. No issues. 2nd time I've stayed at Desert Rose and will consider again in the future.

This is a great place to stay. I've been here a few times before, and I'll definitely be back. 2 block walk to the strip. The staff here is always friendly and helpful as was my host Kelly.

The walls are tissue paper thin. I could hear EVERYTHING that was happening in the rooms next to and above me. Just outside my room was a storage area for dirty linen and the staff were constantly rolling big bins back and forth. Loud and annoying. But worst of all was the facet that every time the neighboring rooms used their dishwashers, my kitchen sink filled up with disgusting foul water that smelled and would not go down. I had the maintenance guy come to check and he tried to tell me that it was my fault because I didn't run the disposer. I never used the kitchen or sink. He tried to run it and it didn't help. He said he never saw that before and left. When I complained at the front desk, the offered me a $10 convenience store credit. I declined the offer, checked out and won't be back. I must say though, that Kelly was extremely nice throughout the reservation and check-in process. It was once I was in that it went off the rails. Caveat Emptor!

For a family like us it was so much better staying in this resort than somewhere on the Strip with just a hotel room (and high resort fees). Nice, big main room with well-equipped kitchenette and master bedroom. We had a really good time in Kelly's apartment and esp. communication with her was very easy and quick. The only point where you really have to be careful is the position of the specific room. We got a room next to the very busy street. So nights weren't very comfortable. Make sure they don't give you a room there!
