We had a nice weekend stay in Macon. 1/4 of a mile walk on nice sidewalks to the heart of downtown but still quiet in the evenings when we got back to the house

The Cherry Street house had everything we needed our trip to Macon. We were there for a wedding. The house was close to the venue. Had off street parking. The kitchen had coffee and creamer and bottle water. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Wonderful place and hosts! We enjoyed walking to all the parks, restaurants, bars, and shows, plus sitting on the porch drinking a glass of wine and listening to the birds sing. We went to yoga at Sparks (just across Washington Park!), saw a show at Capitol, and ate at Dovetail, Downtown Grill, and Kinjo. Drinks at The Black Cat, JBA, and Quill were fantastic. So was live music at Grant’s Lounge, coffee at Sweet Eleanor’s, and bagels at Macon Bagels. You can see the back of the gorgeous historic Hay House from the porch and picnic at nearby Coleman Hill. The rooms were spacious and well-lit, beds were comfy, and the heat worked like a charm even though it’s a historic structure. There’s a nice big table in the dining room for playing board games. If you’re coming to downtown Macon for any reason, it’s a perfect location to enjoy the city without having to drive to all the downtown highlights. Check-in and check-out were easy and stress free.
