Stayed for 7 nights here and had a very enjoyable time. Bill was away when I stayed but Rachael took care of all my needs and was polite and helpful at all times. The place is about 20 minutes from town tucked away in a beautiful spot right on the shoreline. The red tricycles that cone past the entrance regularly will take you there for about 40 pesos. There are some steep steps to get to the beach where you will have it all to yourself. Nice and quiet and safe for swimming or paddling about. I bought a party of ten here one evening to use the pool, eat, drink and sing and Rachael managed everything for us very well, a good time was had by all. My room was nice and big however the Aircon struggles a bit to keep the temp down and the mattress and pillows are probably overdue for a change. Good heated shower. My room was not cleaned in the 7 days I was there, neither were towels / toiletries changed.

The place is wonderfully located. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We would have loved to stay longer, unfortunately we didn‘t have time.

An absolute joy staying at chateau de French, absolutely stunning, so peaceful and relaxing, the outdoor restaurant is as fabulous as the food, the view is scenic and panoramic, the beach kubos and beach bar are a must experience. Very nice pool, staff are superb, courteous and attentive to your needs. This is my favorite place to stay when in the Calbayog area Thanks again to the staff and management of chateau de French

Quiet place,excellent staff and friendly will do everything to make your stay comfortable. I can't say enough about the staff, very nice.
