This trip was meant to find my Aloha Spirt. I thought it would be at K Bay or city of refuge. After visiting these locations I still was not fulfilled. laying in bed one day The family was harvesting mac nut and listening to the interactions of everyone, filled my heart with so much love, then the roosters crowing and the cows, wild turkeys . I felt such joy and the Aloha Spirit. Now add in Geri & Brad, they constantly checked in on us to be sure I was comfortable. We needed to leave early by a week due to my deteriorated condition and had them over to let them know how special they were to us. Brad was like a Brother from another Mother, only strengthening my Aloha Spirit and Love of this family and land. Love You Brad, Geri, Jennifer and every last one of those Chickens!!!

Our opinion of this place is mixed. Overall this was fine, but we wouldn't stay again. I can see this working well for some people. Location - Great snorkeling, hiking, and coffee all nearby. Evenings were peaceful. Extremely rural. Single-track road is poorly maintained, some some neighbors are polite while others drive recklessly. It looks like you are driving through a hobo encampment. Cleanliness - The unit was clean and sanitary. Furniture and decor - Very comfortable and well-appointed. This is a beautiful Yurt. Ceiling fan didn't work. Kitchen & Bathroom - Kitchen is very limited, but the sink and refrigerator were more than adequate. The bathroom was clean and all furnishings worked properly. Wifi - The wifi did not work (and the unit has no TV). The host was responsive and explained why the wifi was out, which was very polite and informative. However, I would have NEVER stayed here knowing the wifi didn't work.

It is a super cute place to stay at. There are so many farms in the area to visit and learn a lot.

We had a lovely stay with Jennifer, who was friendly and helpful with recommendations to eat around the area. The view from the lanai every day was magical, and there was plenty of bug spray to make sitting out there comfortable. Our kid had a great time foraging for mac nuts and wandering around the farm. The animal noises were soothing to go to sleep to and wake up to, but may not be for everyone. It's a bit out of the way from the hustle and bustle of downtown Kona, but that's why I liked it. The weather was great while we were there and made for a relaxing time.
