What an incredible place to get away! We booked Stabbin Cabin #1 but upgraded to #2. We stayed at the end of the season and loved the quiet, secluded feeling that timing provided! The location is beautiful, it felt like living in a painting! The cabin itself (#2) had every amenity we could imagine and was incredibly comfortable! The heater provided plenty of warmth and there was a heated blanket for extra comfort while watching movies on the projector! The bathroom and shower are a short, well-lit walk away and were clean and comfortable! We look forward to staying again! The warmer weather activities seem like they would add even more to an already phenomenal stay! JP was a wonderful host- friendly, helpful, and super responsive! He outlined where to meet clearly and made sure we were settled in okay. He was available if we had a question but we otherwise felt like the only ones on the island! The value for the experience is nothing short of outstanding, highly recommended!

We actually upgraded to JP's glamping tent. It was like sleeping a treehouse!! It was a cold and rainy weekend, but JP provided enough propane for the portable heater, and it kept us cozy, additionally the electric blanket was a game changer :) The island is private and beautiful- waking up and looking out the front of the tent and seeing the lake was wonderful for my soul. Pick up from the main dock and return upon check out was smooth and easy. JP is a wonderful host, going out of his way to make sure your stay is everything you expected and more! Having the little boat was so much fun, even in the rain. Caught a couple of nice sized fish- smallmouth bass and rainbow trout- so if you like fishing, the lake did not disappoint. We cannot wait to come back in the summer and play with all of the toys available on the island and experience some of the adventure that JP is looking to share with his guests!!! We had a blast on our trip to stay with JP. Total experience, both JP and his dog were welcoming and friendly. Glad we got to let my dog Sullivan run around the island, what a cool place and host!!

This is a really special, unusual spot for a low key getaway. JP was extremely accomodating and the island is one of a kind. Just what we needed, and run with spirit of inventiveness and fun.
