The place is just off the beaten track, but so close to the rock churches it was a massive bonus. The people living in the vicinity were all friendly and at night time it was silent. the view of the valley was magnificent, especially at dawn and the night sky full of stars was truly spectacular. the people working at the Airbnb, went beyond the call of duty to ensure our stay was special. the place itself was comfortable for my wifeyself and 1 year old. if we return to the area, we would book again

We had a very good stay, I would highly recommend this place and hapily come back again. We got delicious breackfast every morning, and all the help we could ask for arranging transport or recommendations for food etc. Many thanks!

I stayed in Lalibela with my almost 2 year old daughter for 3 nights over Ethiopian Christmas. Habtamu’s apartment was simply fabulous for us. It has the most beautiful views, child safe balcony, and two rooms one with a large double bed and the other with a single which I was able to put my travel cot into. Habtamu himself was so helpful and kind. The wifi was a bit patchy but I think think was due to the networks being overloaded at a very busy time - the apartment has its own wifi so shouldn’t ordinarily be an issue. We had a great breakfast on the day we left (the other two days we left too early for breakfast!) and they kindly did our laundry for no extra cost. It is a perfect, quiet, place to stay and I would highly recommend it for couples and families.

My stay at Habtamu’s place was very pleasant and enjoyable: safe, clean, spacious, good staff and everything as described. The view from the balcony was amazing and you can use a little bar upstairs. Only 10 min walk to the city centre and 15 min walk to the famous churches. Habtamu was very helpful and accommodating: he gave us local tips for restaurants, a good english-speaking guide for the churches and picked us up and dropped us at the airport. Highly recommend this place, if you want a unique stay away from other tourists. Thanks Habtamu-looking forward to stay again
