Cabin could use some updates with the bedding. On of the single beds upstairs had a bent leg and collapsed when it was sat on.

We loved our weekend at Whippoorwill. The cabin was cozy and lovely. The kitchen was tiny, but we laughed as we bumped into eachother baking for my husband's birthday. This cabin isn't super fancy, but it was clean and cozy, and Nancy was incredibly responsible and accommodating! Would absolutely stay again!

The cabin was solid and I wasn't expected some sort of white glove establishment. My climbing friends had a place to sleep at night and wind down while we made dinner and had some drinks next to the fire. I can confirm the outdated amenities but I kind of knew about them going into this. The hot tub was a nice feature as we all needed some relaxation time after climbing all day. Nothing fancy about this place and it's exactly what you expect. It is an interesting drive to get there which kind of meanders and winds through the housing in the area so if you need to get somewhere quick, account for the 10-13mins of driving out of the suburb area. I received very quick responses when I communicated with the owners and they were very friendly. Would definitely stay in the area again.

This stay fell way short of our first experience with the business. We weren’t expecting a brand new cabin or the Ritz Carlton. The check in was easy and pleasant and the location is great but the cabin is another story. It’s old, items dated, and in some sections looks pieced milled together. The beds are terrible and uncomfortable. As someone who owns rentals I would be embarrassed to have these beds in my properties. Some of the sheets and towels have stains and are discolored. Upstairs bedroom was missing curtains. The basement was musty and cold. Most of our plates and cups where dirty and we had to wash again. The refrigerator while having a water and ice dispenser did not work and the compressor made a loud noise every 10-15 minutes. Outside was nice. My only complaint is that they have a 4/5ft piece of rebar sticking out of the ground by fire pit, not safe at all. I would give them another try but not this cabin. It’s over priced and for the amenities/ quality is poor.
