Greta and David were fantastic hosts. My partner and I were working remotely, and often need extra bandwidth when we are both taking video calls. When it became clear the existing wifi wouldn't be enough, our hosts went above and beyond by running an additional Ethernet cable from the main house to the guesthouse. They also have a cleaner come once a week who is very considerate and does a great job with the space. The space itself is in a beautiful location, and it was well-organized, with all of the extra items from blankets to toiletries that you might need. My only note would be that the mini fridge temperature is a bit temperamental. This is true of most mini fridges! Just be sure to test out the temperature and adjust it as needed before you start putting a lot of food in it. :)

Beautiful sunlit studio in Elysian Heights. A short walk to Elysian Park. Super safe neighborhood with easy parking. All around a fantastic stay. Greta, David, and their pup Henry are the sweetest hosts and made sure we were comfortable throughout our time here.

It is a beautiful unit with gorgeous natural light and outdoor area. It was obviously thoughtfully designed. It’s always sunny and has lots of wonderful different plants. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and full of great places to eat or get a drink. It’s also steps away from a few great hikes! The hosts are beyond kind and gracious. They were very responsive and helped me with everything I needed! Parking is on the street but it is always available and easy to walk to. I found a spot immediately every time. You can do laundry in the main house. I loved the bathtub and the kitchen design. They also had a French press for me to use and gave me an amazing bag of local coffee and a grinder to make fresh coffee in the morning. My only comment would be to bring a hot spot or plan to work somewhere where there is strong wifi, if you need it. The wifi signal was quite weak and if you are working or in school from home, it might be something to consider ahead of time. Of course, the hosts let me work in their home office where the signal is stronger, so there are workarounds.

11 out of 10. Highly recommend. David and Greta were the best hosts, providing anything we needed or asked for, and then some. The place is simple but has all the things you need for long stays. The outside area and patio are very pleasant and manicured. The location is great - just 5 minute walk from Elysian Park and 15 minutes from great restaurants, food trucks and bars on Sunset Avenue.
