Nice tiny home, did the job for our trip.

This place is in a great location. It’s very cute and a great price. It’s a block from a supermarket and 15 min to main sugar house attractions. I found a few things underwhelming. Communication around check in was disappointing. I tried to organize early check in using Cody’s instructions, and ultimately I didn’t receive a response until the day after the original check in time. The wifi did not work. I let Cody know and he said he’d try to fix it, but it continued not to work. We could have been more insistent about trying to get this fixed, but we didn’t NEED it so we didn’t ask again. Appliances/amenities: when we arrived, the fridge was off and not cold. There were limited kitchen supplies: no oven, no oil, no coffee, no salt/ spices. The final weird thing was that the water stopped running near the end of our stay. Overall, it was a decent place! None of these problems were that consequential. This is a bare bones kind of Airbnb. It was safe, convenient, affordable and cute.

The home was dirty upon arrival. The cleaner said they weren’t notified of us coming till an hour or two prior even though we had been booked for weeks. Cody took 30 minutes to respond after calling and texting since when we first arrived the door was wide open to a dirty house and no one could be found. Another night there was a huge party at the other bnb location on property and I had no where to park and there were tons of girls just standing around drinking outside my rental. I texted Cody and while he said he was on it which I really appreciated (the party was no fault of his of course and I appreciated the swift response) nothing actually happened and when I woke up the next morning all the cars were still there (all 10 of them fully blocking the driveway) so nothing was actually enforced which was a bit worrisome. Overall I felt safe and the bed was comfy but all of the other things ensured that I will not be returning.

Our check in was at 4pm and we arrived at 5pm to a place that had not been cleaned. When we messaged Cody he responded via text apologizing and saying “he would check on cleaning eta (estimated arrival time)”. We waited around for four hours and he would not answer any phone calls to explain how long it may take, what we can do in the meantime, etc. Every time we checked in he would not answer any calls and would text “sorry still checking on cleaning eta they had car trouble”. By 7:30, still with no answers about where cleaners were and how long it would even be, or if it was even going to be done. He finally said we could try his other property. We arrived there and it had also not been cleaned. We ended up cancelling our trip and having to go home. Save your money as this guy just owns multiple airbnbs and does not even know what goes on with them, if they’re clean, who’s checking in and out, etc. I messaged him about a refund and got no response so we contacted Airbnb support.

Cody’s home was beautiful and accommodating. He did a fantastic job at remodeling a piece of classic real estate . It maintains its classic charm while offering a touch of modern appeal. As a host Cody was absolutely amazing. We heals a special event at his property which basically meant we had a lot of questions. He was quick & responsive and accommodating to our needs. He was an absolutely amazing host.
